First People Language

We all have unique gifts and talents that need to be recognized. However, special education has previously used language that put the disability before the person. First person language allows for people and children to first be seen as people and children first. To help further this, the Anabaptist Disabilities Network has recently released appropriate terms to use when describing or talking about an area of disability.
